What is important to you?

I would like you to let us know one trait that is important to you so that our class will run smoothly this year. For example:  I believe being engaged in the activities that we do helps create an enviroment in here that everyone has value and is important in order to make class work.

  1. A sense of trust between most of the people in the class would be good as well as being comfortable around everyone are good things to have to make the year go by smoothly.

  3. I think that people should be accepting others for who they are and help them feel comfortable other than being nervous or awkward in class. I feel like that will make the class more fun and will get closer with each other .

  4. I think the most important thing about successfully accomplishing things would have to be trusting everyone in this class. When you trust everyone, you don't have to worry about looking like an idiot in front of them and you feel like you can push yourself to accomplish things you normally couldn't do.

  7. I believe we need to trust each other. We are in a dangerous environment when were climbing and we need to trust each other to catch each other. In the circle, there is a vulnerability aspect and I believe we should knock we should embrace that and trust each other more

  8. I think trust is pretty important. We could be put in a situation that we need to trust other people and if we don't trust them, things could turn out bad.

  15. I think it's important to listen to one another and give feedback, because we do that right now with the rope activities and games, but I'm guessing that later on in the year it will be much more serious and helpful.

  21. I think it's really important that we trust each other and are willing to work together as a team, but before that we have to be willing to do the activities because otherwise nothing will really work out.

  22. Openness and unity between all classmates would really help the class run smoothly. With this, a lot of the activity groups won't be confined to very skewed and limited social groups. Being open will allow us to take down these barriers and make it easier to complete our activities productively and with a purpose.

  26. I think an important trait would be trust. For alot of these activities were going to have to have a lot of trust in our partner, group, and class. Trust can also help us outside this class. When we learn to trust people, we can open up to them and get to know them better.

  27. I think an important trait is communication. In order to get things done properly and safely we have to listen to eachother. We can't all be talking at once and we have to accept others ideas.

  28. Having TRUST in others is the most important in this class because when we start to do more dangerous activities, we will need to trust our class mates.

  29. I believe that trust is important, also full participation. I feel like there will be instances where we won't be willing to put in everything we've got because, like our activity we did today with our 20 steps of being in the spotlight and making our silly noise and everything, we will probably feel embarrassed or ashamed and not want to do it. If we just do it, though, if we put in that 100% of energy and enthusiasm with a touch of bravery, this will not be that difficult of a class. It'll be a challenge for me, personally, to put myself 100% out there, but it's a challenge I'm able and willing to face.
